Plumbing starting

More electrical work today. They have started pulling the light and switch cables. The power looks like it is now done. They have also run the data cables (Cat 5e) and the TV co-axial. The electrical chasing guys did not turn up today to finish off the missed chases (bathroom heater conduit to floor, study data conduit and revised pantry switch chase).
The plumber also came and started marking out the plumbing runs and started chasing for the piping. So good progress for the roof cover to go on next week. Cloudy forecast for Monday and Tuesday so hopefully they will be able to get it on.

Electrical Day 2

The electrician started today installing the wiring. So far there is 5 drums of 100m each so that is 500m of wire!! The chasing guys will need to come back as they did not chase the conduit to the floor for the floor heater in the ensuite and bathroom. They chased only to the roof. Bec also asked them to rechase the pantry light switch (move it to the other side). No problems however he would not add the extra conduits - he said that it would need to be a variation. The chasers need to also recut the box for the garage light switch. Other than that I ran a tape over all the power and light points and they have put it exactly per the dimensioned plan.

Gutters finished, Electrical chasing started

Guttering was finished off today. Nobody was there when I drove past on my way to work so was dissappointed but they did work so really pleased on the way home.
The guttering guy finished the downpipes. He does have two more to go but these are in the portico and will be done once the render is done.
The sparky started today and has chased 99% of the power points and switches. They have also put in conduit for the data points - whew as I thought they would stick them in the wall like the wires! Need to check tomorrow with plan in hand.

Gutters

We have gutters. He has done all the gutters and about half the downpipes. I impagine he will be finished tomorrow. Having the colorbond makes it look great already. It's really starting to look like a house now! The manor red downpipes must have been a good choice as Bec did not notice the downpipes initially.

Day Lost

We lost a day of work today as it was a public holiday! So no more update but forgot to mention that we received progress claim 2 - plate height on Friday so that payment was faxed off to the bank. Let's see if their promised 4 day turnaround on payments eventuates on this claim.
